Happy Holidays!

Exhausted and weighing a bit more, we bid farewell to Christmas... we enjoyed our time together celebrating the season and our Savior's birth.

We shared FHE with Jason's brother and sister, Dustin and Laura, and their families. We ate good food, albeit too much, shared memories and current events, and ended the evening by watching, "The Christmas Orange" which is one our family's all time favorite Christmas stories. (actually the evening ended with a complete melt-down from Colby due to holiday stress, but we'll just pretend that didn't happen...)

Thank you, husband, for the pic of me eating, or licking my chops, whatever

We stayed home as a family for Christmas this year, it was magnificent! Not that we don't simply adore our extended family... but the time has come for us to create our own traditions and to spend less time on the road! We enjoyed immensely our time together, in fact, I was so jolly that I forgot to pull out my camera and take pictures. Jason would argue, that the lack of pictorial documentation is due to the fact that he gave me books for Christmas. I can't deny the claim. Nothin' makes me happier than to be home, surrounded by my family with a cup of wassail and my nose stuck in a book. Doesn't that just sound lovely? It was!

Here you go, the only two pictures of Christmas day.

Thank you, husband, for the I-stayed-in-my-pajamas-all-day pic

Well, guess it's time to get down to the business of cleaning up the house and exercising. I should be very busy this week seeing as how I stuffed my face at every available opportunity and the house looks like a tornado swept through. Yep, Happy Holidays!

I hear you about driving around. This year we are still driving, we had to go to Gary's family a couple hours away. :( I am trying to figure out how to put my foot down next year without completely offending them.

Thanks for the photos of your FHE and Christmas. I could imagine being part of the celebration. Today is a holiday in Africa and we have been invited to visit a farm. I hope Grandpa doesn't get too homesick for the cows. Colby, having NO holiday stress is hard too. We love you all, G & G Brown
