How do you know when the hiatus was a result of your child's surgery rather than a leisurely vacation? You are too exhausted to change the decor and decide to leave it up until Halloween.
I'm working on a post from the night that Carter and I returned home. We were greeted by a huge "welcome home committee" also known as most of the fifth graders at Salem Elementary. Carter was so excited to see his friends and the pictures form the evening are so cute, so check back soon!

Had to laugh at this one since it happened to me too. We took our Colby to the hospital in August and brought him home in November. It was like 98 degrees the day he went in and snowing the day he came out. Kind of a crazy reality to realize you don't know what happened to three and a half months of your life outside of a hospital.
